Unspoken words….
Anxious, stressed, fearful, weak, failure, speechless, powerless…..
These words so often go unspoken when parenting children, leading our teams and speaking to our friends and family. Instead we speak words like confidence, strong, fearless, outgoing, energized, articulate, passionate. We speak to all the things we encourage each other and ourselves to be. We remind them / ourselves that we/they can be whoever they want to be as long as they put the time and commit into being so.
But is it okay?
It’s okay to have anxiety
It’s okay to be scared
It’s okay to fail
It’s okay to not be able to verbalize what you are thinking at a particular moment
It’s okay to feel powerless at times
It’s okay to be vulnerable
The emotions we feel make us who we are…. They allow us to be our best selves, to connect, to relate. Being comfortable being you is the building block, the foundation on which becoming your best self begins.
Because you own your feelings doesn’t mean they dominate you or you can’t control, manipulate or change them, matter of fact it is what allows you to take control and truly influence and choose your feelings at any given time.
Once you allow yourself and give yourself permission to be you. It will free you to focus on all the things you want to be, allow yourself to thrive and become the best you, you can be.
